The role of the Methods & Process Engineer!

The role of the Methods & Process Engineer is to propose and implement the most appropriate solutions for customers. His/her main tasks are to analyse, optimise and improve processes, thanks to his/her methodological and technical expertise. He/she must work as well as possible with the customer’s specifications, FM Logistic commitments, the safety rules and the quality procedures. The logistics market and companies in general are asking us to be ever more efficient and innovative. It’s about providing the best solutions in the shortest possible time.

The Methods and Processes Engineer assists the Innovation Department in supporting the start-up of activities and improving the performance of existing operations of warehouse activities. He/she works on the deployment of technological innovations or new solutions, the implementation of performance monitoring tools, training and participation in calls for tender.

The Lean Project Management’s role is to analyse the activities of the various operational units and then to identify areas for optimisation: improving productivity, reducing drudgery, increasing performance….
He/she is a key player in the optimisation of customers’ work. Every day, he/she proposes solutions to improve efficiency. In the context of Lean project management, there are three main challenges: to be effective in providing pragmatic and operational solutions to sites, to collaborate with colleagues and to show curiosity. He/she must be aware of all the projects underway within the company and externally in order to offer effective solutions.

The role of an Innovation Project Manager is not only to deploy innovative solutions within the group but also to support our solution design and sales teams with his/her expertise.
He/she is in charge of the whole implementation project and may also participate in the co-design of complex solutions with our customers.
The involvement of the Innovation Product Manager starts with the identification of the business case, through the proof of concept, the calculation of the return on investment, the choice of a partner, the coordination of the different interlocutors around the implementation project (partners, customers, internal departments such as Purchasing, IT, Technical, Operations, etc.). The Innovation Product Manager will also provide post-commissioning support through to the industrialisation of the solution and the production of marketing material.

Within the innovation department, the Robotisation & Automation Project Manager participates in the management of automation projects.

The main tasks of a Robotisation & Automation Project Manager are to define project methodologies and best practices with the implementation of standard specification and integration bricks. The robotisation and automation project manager also ensures or supervises the implementation of automation solutions, defines the tools for monitoring the performance of installations, and formalises feedback. He/she supports the pre-sales teams in order to continuously improve the offers.
